Dr. Mel Lobo
Dr Mel Lobo is a consultant physician with a special interest in cardiovascular medicine and in particular hypertension. He is the Director of the internationally renowned Bart’s and The London Hypertension Clinic which has been recognised as a Hypertension Centre of Excellence by the European Society of Hypertension. Dr Lobo is an accredited Clinical Hypertension Specialist of the European Society of Hypertension and sees in excess of 2000 hypertension-related consultations per year in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr Lobo undertakes NHS practice in St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital Trust, one of the oldest teaching hospitals in Western Europe. He runs the Coronary Care Unit and the Cardiovascular Medicine team in the Royal London Hospital and continues to participate in receiving unselected emergency admissions on the acute medical take in his capacity as an accredited specialist in general internal medicine
